Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi is an Indian actress and model, who was born on April 10, 1986. She has mostly appeared in Hindi film productions. In 2004, Ayesha Takia received the Filmfare Best Debut Award for her role as the main character in Taarzan The Wonder Car which made her debut as an actor. Her subsequent appearances were in popular movies including Paathshaala (2010) Wanted (2009) Salaam-E-Ishq (2007) and Socha Na Tha (2010). The first commercial she starred in was Complan known as a drink for its health benefits. Ayesha's courage in the face of morality was evident by her slamming of her political father-inlaw Samajwadi Party Samajwadi Party member Abu Azmi for his views regarding the punishment of rape victims. While participating in the PETA India ad campaign, she signed the public announcement that she is a vegan. In 2006, she was listed as one the top Desirable Indian Women.
